Scott was born in Hanford, California in 1964. Other than that, Scott refuses to discuss his past as it is shrouded in mystery. One listener was overheard saying "Holy Gigli! That guy really is mysterious!"
Scott broke into radio in 1999, with an afternoon show on 1230 AM KGEO in Bakersfield, California. His ratings quickly outgrew the station, and in late fall 2000, he moved to 1410 KERN also in Bakersfield.
Scott's show on KSFO deals with local, state, and national issues with a less-than-completely-serious slant. Scott believes that news is more palatable with a dose of humor. He's been greatly influenced by the most ingenious movie of 2004 Napoleon Dynamite and Comedy Central's Colbert Report.
Politicians...Hollywood...the media...NO ONE is safe on Saturdays from 7 – 10pm.
Says Scott...
"I simply refuse to cater to people who take themselves too seriously..."
"The easily offended will probably be happier listening to someone else. Everybody else will have a great time tuning in again and again."
Scott's has been named as a nominee for Best Local Radio Personality in the Bakersfield Californian's 2001 Best Of Bakersfield Reader's Choice poll, and co-recipient of the ASSE Citizen of the Year in 2004. Yet Scott remains humble. He lives with his trophy wife, Debbie, two perfect children, Brett and Katie and dogs. He enjoys tennis, auto racing, cat juggling and Moon Pies.
